  • Wonderful evening
We had a great time! Yes, we are tourists and expected a “touristy” experience but this exceeded our expectations. Things were well organized, food was good, atmosphere was pleasant. And the velvet desert sand on bare feet was unforgettable, better than any beach. We were in a small group with local Emiratis, which enhanced the experience. Lovely young people with verve and humor. Saeed was our group leader and he was attentive and ensured we had good time. Highly recommend.

For my Birthday, we booked this wonderful trip to the Desert in Rub Al Khali! It’s one of the best things we have ever done, really special completely different from other Desert Safari a total luxury experience and great fun for both children and Adults! Great staff looking after us especially Tiago our guide for our overnight stay who was super amazing! Thank you Platinum Heritage and your Team

  • Mass tourism trap...
The last thing we wanted to experience in Dubai was a mass tourism cheezy desert safari. We got seduced by Platinum's slick marketing (and You Tube video)...about being more exclusive / authentic...providing small group dinner safaris....it was just the opposite. Their dinner safaris are not authentic...they are over crowded and touristy. The Cons... -got picked up by a jammed van of 12...then met up with another 190 people -they loaded 11 of us in the 1950 jeep (double the reasonable capacity)...I had the stick shift between my legs and one leg hugging the driver's leg (both ways) -people jammed in the back of the jeep were very uncomfortable -there were 200 of us trying to take in a disappointing touristy falcon show -they had a 5 minute sword show ....which could only be seen by a very few people because of the table layout -then 3 interesting locals did a 2 minute drum show and then had everyone join in for 10 minutes ...the locals were great BUT the tourist crowd was painful -they offered everyone a circle (merry-go-round) camel ride -200 people then crowded each other to get at the buffet -after dinner we had to wait around for 1.5 hours as the employees tried to sell photos and videos (made by their staff) to everyone -the evening was way too long The Pros... -the food was good for a made up Bedouin camp -the bathrooms and the camp were clean -the staff were all polite and personable The program has potential. The experience would be much better if... 1.they cut the number of people by 75% 2.they started earlier so that you can enjoy a sunset 3.the local show was 15-30 minutes 4.finish the evening 1.5-2 hours earlier 5.group people that speak the same language together (no one in our group spoke English)
