Casual dining concept Teible focuses on seasonal, farm-to-table flavours in a stripped back spot in Jameel Arts Centre.

The bakery and restaurant, which holds a Michelin Green star, was developed by Peter Ahn and focuses on fresh produce harvested from local farms. Through its minimal wastage menu, Teible aims to advocate for ecology with its four-pillar value system, which includes sustainability, seasonality, simplicity and integrity.

The locally-inspired menu at Teible is ever-evolving, though you can rest assured that the journey to your plate has been minimal, with the majority of produce originating from the United Arab Emirates.

Highlights include local oysters on kefir buttermilk, camel ricotta 'caramelle' pasta, along with lamb paired with kimchi from the charred section. Desserts include a ‘Sour Mountain’ featuring locally-foraged rosemary, and the ‘Ode to Teible Bakery’, consisting of "yesterday’s croissant gelato and cold brew, and last week’s dried sourdough" for a finisher that elevates leftovers to another level.

Teible also features a micro-artisan bakery offering a selection of pastries, sourdough and other bready treats, all baked fresh every day.

The eco-conscious theme extends to the décor, with simple, minimalist interior wooden floors and furniture leading out onto floor-to-ceiling views of the open water. Designed by award-winning architect, waiwai, Teible’s pared-back aesthetic has a distinctly Scandinavian feel and perfectly complements the simple ‘living off the land’ ethos.
